Matt BlumbergMatt Blumberg
Founder, CEO & Chairman

Matt Blumberg founded Return Path in 1999 back when he had more hair on his head, less hair on his face, and all of it was brown. He started the company because he knew that the world needed a better way of handling email change of address (the company's first product). Matt is passionate about making the online relationship between end users and marketers/market researchers better for both sides of the equation. It is with great pride that he has watched this initial creation grow into a 100-plus person company with market leading brands, innovative products, multiple patents, and renowned industry experts on staff in three different areas of the commercial email industry.

In his prior lives, Matt ran marketing, product management, and the Internet group for MovieFone, Inc. (acquired by AOL, and yes, he does know the guy with the voice); he served as an associate with private equity firm General Atlantic Partners, and he was a consultant with Mercer Management Consulting. While all great jobs, none was nearly as fun as his current gig.

You can learn much more about Matt, possibly more than you ever wanted to, by reading his email marketing and entrepreneurship blog OnlyOnce (http://onlyonce.blogs.com) -- one of the first CEO blogs on the Internet.

John TaliercioJohn Taliercio
Director of Client Services for Authentic Response

John Taliercio joined ReturnPath in July 2000 as a member of the acquired Netcreations division, learning to sling email in a time when the bubble was still big, and learning even quicker what it took to ride out the dotcom roller coaster with few corporate name changes along the way. He has worked with some of the largest research and sample companies, helping to build their online panels. Realizing the growing segment of online research, John was an influential member in the launch of Return Path’s market research division in 2003, now known as Authentic Response. John plays a large role as Senior Director of Panel Services, where he is responsible for developing and managing the Authenic Response Panel - known as MyView.

Prior to all things Double Opt-In, John worked for an IT solutions firm servicing pharmaceutical and telecommuication companies. When not locked into his laptop, John focuses on stress management techniques either on the ice with his local hockey team - the Nanooks, or at the bar supporting the Yankees or the Rangers. John holds a BS from Boston University's School of Management.

Within the first quarter of rolling out the new product it quickly eclipsed a million dollar annual run rate. In the past, he also worked as an online advertising analyst for Lycos, a search engine firm. Jack SinclairJack Sinclair
COO

Jack Sinclair was a co-founder of Return Path in 1999. He was the Vice President of Finance and Corporate Resources until he decided in 2004 that databases and PHP were much more interesting than financial statements and has been the Chief Operating Officer ever since.

Before moving on to Return Path (not that he can remember back that far) Jack worked at Stern Stewart & Co. and the Financial Resource Group providing corporate finance consulting (i.e. producing pounds of documents) and investment banking services to small and large corporations. He graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Finance.

Nathan LynchNathan Lynch
Senior Manager of Operations for Authentic Response

Nathan Lynch joined Return Path in January of 2005 as a Field Manager and was then promoted to the role of Senior Manager of Operations for Authentic Response. Prior to working with Return Path, Nathan held several positions at Opinionsite and Lieberman Online where he served as both Project Manager and as Sample Manager and was responsible for the upkeep of the company’s corporate website as well as controlling the sample flow of all online market research studies. Nathan holds a B.S. in Marketing from Bryant College.

As Senior Manager of Operations at Authentic Response, Nathan wears many hats and is always on the move. From rolling up his sleeves with Project Managers to get the perfect panel, to handling proposals with Sales and training his Field Managers to be the best they can be, he manages to save enough time to whip up amazing meals in the kitchen, research fantasy football statistics and watch his favorite football team, the New York Jets.
